1) About This Collection

weirdnet is a human-edited observatory of the small web — personal sites, strange projects, forgotten corners, and places you will not find through algorithmic feeds.

2) How These Sites Were Gathered

Over roughly two years, links were collected from everywhere we could reach them: directories, webrings, community lists, archives, bookmarks, old blogrolls, recommendation threads, and plain manual browsing. The collection grew slowly, one site at a time, without automation deciding what deserves to exist.

3) Curation Status

Many entries in the directory and link dump have been reviewed and described by hand. A large backlog still lives in the uncurated archive at /uncurated/ — URLs saved for later sorting, not yet checked or endorsed. Treat that section as a staging area, not a finished catalog.

4) What We List

weirdnet lists whole sites — homepages and personal domains — not individual articles, product pages, or deep links inside someone else's site. If a URL points to a single post rather than a place on the web, it does not belong here.
